Bing is the Microsofts new kid on the block. It is actually a remake of the Live Search that had not performed as expected. But Bing is recording a whole new story. For the few weeks that it has been around, some people cannot get enough of it and it is almost climbing to the ranks of Google and Yahoo. But even with that being said, search engines like Google have enjoyed a spot in the sun that is too high for most of the other search engines.
But Microsoft is persistent with bringing new web technology to the market so that dominance can be theirs and the latest is Bing Tweets. By description, Bing Tweets is a union between Bing and Twitter. Using Bing Tweets your results are often displayed as a separate hybrid of the two; Bing results appear on center page while the Twitter ones together with the feeds appear on the left side. The icing is on top with trending topic results displaying popular people, places and products and in general what is popular at the moment.
Sure the search engine reeks of Bing, but it is choosing to be housed as a separate identity under a different site. Though these wishes have been honored, it still looks like Bing even from a mile away.
If anything, this is just good news for twitter fans as they are treated to something more over the experience they receive with Bing. Keeping up with feeds this way creates a whole new level of convenience.
But in the midst of all the excitement, there is still a feeling of dissatisfaction even after all the hard work has been invested in making the fusion. From the look of it, the whole bond seems undercooked since the twitter feeds are on one side and the Bing results on the other. That does not represent a union as such and that is what is causing the whole unrest. But still, this is a minor issue and the concept that is bringing all the joy is still intact; the joy of twitter and that of a refreshed search engine.
Speaking of which, Bing displays results more oriented with the now and that requires at least a round of applause. The results are filtered with news first and then all the happenings surrounding the query searched from now till way back when. The inclusion of the time feature is what is important for now.
Bing Tweets is not the first Twitter search site, since others have been around. But it is better than all the rest since it brings a new look and tables new ideas and that is what is causing the stir. So in conclusion, if you are a die hard fan for all things Microsoft and prefer twitter to all other networks available, then you will find a double blessing in the new web technology that is Bing Tweets. You can be guaranteed that you will leave the site impressed.
